Debate #1 – August 2015

debateDebates. Why the do we even care about them outside of the Democrat vs. Republican context? I find that it’s just a chance for “like-minded” presidential hopefuls to bicker amongst each other for two hours and not say a damn thing. Thursday night was no exception.

We started off with the FOX moderators asking the candidates if they would run third party if they didn’t get the nomination. This was telling in how the stage would be set for the debate. A blatant attempt to Donald Trump and make him look like a fool, and of course Trump fell for it. Now, I’m no fan of Trump, I think he’s a blow hard, egotistical ass hat. That being said, I am extremely disappointed in FOX News attacking him the way they did. Megyn Kelly, especially, was a bit of a bitch. They handled themselves very poorly and it was apparent they went into the debate holding a grudge against Trump.

Trump gave straight, confident answers, sort of. He only told us what most of us want to hear, and his answers were very arrogant. Basically, “I’m super rich [which isn’t a problem in my book], everyone loves me [not really] and I did some shady shit with the system to get ahead in business [true].” He got a few jabs in on the others, as well as Rosie O’Donnell, but all in all he did pretty poorly.

Jeb Bush. Just, fuck no. Set aside the fact we do not need a dynasty when it comes to presidents. I mean I liked Dubya, sometimes, but there were a lot of things that I did not like about him. His brother Jeb is one in the same. He’s pro-open borders, pro-common core, his wife can barely speak english [I’ve been told], he’s a RINO, a wolf in sheep’s clothing and of course a Bush. Need I say more.

Chris Christie is another creature all together. New Jersey governor, RINO, hugger of Obama. It’s fair to say that he and Jeb are pretty much the farthest left of those in the debate. I honestly can’t remember all he said because I can’t stand the guy. He did get into it with Rand Paul over NSA spying. Long story short, Christie is all for it.

I used to like Rubio, and I will say that he probably has views that match a lot of my own. But come on. Even he basically wants amnesty. He was probably the most Presidential of all the guys though. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t he get elected riding on the shoulders of the Tea Party and then basically thank them by somewhat jumping ship on some major conservative issues? I don’t know. I just don’t really like him anymore.

Governor Kasich seems like a beady eyed little kook. He loves big government and Obamacare apparently. The only reason he got the response he did when answering questions was because he had home field advantage.

Huckabee just won’t be President, plain and simple. Sorry Huckster.

Ben Carson did surprisingly well, I thought. He needs to work on his facts though. As I was talking to my brother afterwards and he pointed out that the USAF was formed in 1947, not 1940. Admittedly a small mistake, but it’s something that will be used against him in the future, especially from the Democrats that aim for the jugular.

Rand Paul got absolutely no time . I think he got a total of 5 minutes and some change total for the two hour debate. I think FOX News thinks he is a truther, an evil libertarian, he wants to legalize all the drugs, and he’s a hippie who is just a threat to the Republican establishment.

Scott Walker? Meh. He seems to be a pretty staunch conservative, in my opinion. Dealing with all the union bullshit in Wisconsin. I believe he is a man of his word and has more integrity than other established douchebag Republicans. Still not sure he will make it far in the nomination process though.

Ted Cruz? He’s my homeboy. From calling Mitch McConnell a liar on the Senate floor to reading ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ as a filibuster. [Side-note, best Dr. Seuss book period.] [Side-side-note, that was not a Megyn Kelly period joke.] Anyway, I may be a bit biased towards this shining example of a human being, but I think he gave the some of the best answers. Unfortunately, I still don’t know if he would be a good Republican nominee at this time.

I missed the pre-debate debate, but heard Carly Fiorina utterly killed it. Hopefully she will make it to the main debate next time. I am really hopeful that we will see the dream team of a Trump/Bush ticket and have another four to eight years of Democrat rule.

“…America Needs A Turnaround.”

Paul Ryan’s speech was great last night.  The guy could barely get out  a sentence before everyone was giving him a standing ovation.  It was really that good.

“The country doesn’t need four more years of run around, America needs a turnaround.”

This was the first quote that caught my attention, because it’s true, we have been lied to and told to look over at this hand and forget about what the other hand is doing, for to long.  Just one day of this is wrong, but the president has been doing this for four years.  It’s time to relieve our ‘Commander-In-Chief’ of his duty.

Another quote that just made me laugh, then I realized how true it was, was when he made reference to college graduates living at home.

“College graduates should not have to live out their twenties in their childhood bedroom staring up at faded Obama posters, wondering when they can move out and get going with life.”

This is so true it’s not even funny.  Think about it.  You go to school to get a good education, to get a good job, and when you get out, there’s no jobs available.  And why?  The leftist college professors and politicians will tell you it’s because of the greedy rich, tax dodging, evil corporations.  Sending all the jobs overseas.  However, we all know the truth is that it is the outrageous and socialistic taxes these same politicians are forcing on these corporations.  Causing them to not be able to buy products to sell, which means they can’t afford as many employee’s. Which means theirs less employee’s to help customers, which means customers can’t have their instant gratification, which makes them mad, so they don’t buy those products.  Which makes the company lose more money, which means they have to lay off more employee’s, and so on.  Trickle down poverty works as you can see, so it only makes sense, trickle down economics works as well. But I digress.

Anyway, if you missed it, you guys would be horrible conservatives.  Luckily I got your back, and have the video right here for your viewing pleasure.  So, feel free to do so.

Viva La Revolution, At… the RNC?

I hope this post makes sense to someone. I was half asleep when I wrote it and to be honest I never paid much attention to how the RNC works.  All I know is that the liberals think Republican’s are summoning Lucifer, and  it’s where the Republican Presidential Nominee is chosen.  So bear with me.

Shame on you, all of you.  Not you, the idiots down at the RNC.  Today there was almost an all out brawl between Ron Paul supporters and I guess you’d say…’Romney supporters’?  The problems apparently started in the RNC only sat two of the three delegates controlled by Ron Paul supporters.  This move was met by protest.  Ron Paul supporters (to make it easier, I am going to call them Paul-kaholics, and I am NOT insinuating they are alcoholics) started shouting “point of order” and  “no,” among other things.  Romeney supporters (I now dub Romnites) began yelling back “U-S-A.”  First off, Really, USA,  come on, these guys aren’t freaking Occupy protesters.  Second, they’re just as frustrated with how America is going down the tubes as we are, some of them might be a little on the crazy side, but they are our still our conservative brothers and sisters.

We have a common goal as conservatives, removing one of the greatest threats to our American sovereignty we’ve ever seen.  Instead we are acting like a bunch of children.  I’m not blaming one side over the other, this is a problem with Paul-kaholics and also the Romnites.  We need to sit down, shut up, and work together to get Obama out of office.  I know Paul-kaholics don’t like Romney, heck if it wasn’t for Paul Ryan, I would almost feel dirty voting for Romney.  However, they are going to get the nomination and we need to stop being so moronic.  There is a good chance that Ron Paul could split the vote between Romney and him, which would be a repeat of the whole Ross Perot debacle back in the 90’s.  To say Romney is just as bad for America as Obama, is absolutely absurd.

Shame on you Paul-kaholics. Shame on you Romnites. And screw you RINO’s, everyone hates you anyway.

Political Fails of the Week: 8/20 – 8/24

This is what I thought were the best political stories, or just plain fails, that made me chuckle this week.

Monday 8/20:

I laughed at first, then I’ll admit I cried a little after reading the story about what happened to our tax payer dollars that went into ‘Solyndra’.  Turns out some of it is now “modern art.” I cringe when I hear those words.  It usually means a bunch of garbage stacked into a pile, and is called a “sculpture.”  Most of it is hideous, but you gotta admit it is kind of amazing, or sickening if you prefer, how millions of dollars turns into some okay looking art.

Tubes manufactured by Solyndra now “modern art.”

Tuesday 8/21:

During the First Friday Festival in downtown Phoenix, AZ, a woman was confronted by a city official and told to stop giving out free water bottles. Why? Because she didn’t have a permit. That’s right, she wasn’t selling them, she was giving them away. Free.  I’m sure that along with the permit she probably also needed a food handlers card.  This just shows how brainless our government is.

This just goes back to all the ridiculous stories in the news in the past few years about the government shutting down the only income families have because they missed a step in maze of paperwork or permits.  Let’s not forget the pathetic attempts at shutting down kids lemonade stands.  Here in Olympia, WA you can’t sell pre-cooked food, that’s pre cooked food, you know that can’t hurt anyone even if you ate it cold, without a permit, business license, and food handler cards.  Even for a one or two day fundraiser.

Common sense is obviously gone in this country.  Which is bad because I believe all you need to survive in life is common sense.  Well that and a work ethic.  But let’s not get carried away.  If everyone had those we wouldn’t need the government.

Wednesday 8/22:

So we all know that liberals aren’t really the brightest group of people.  Give them a simple question or word to spell and the blow it every time.  On Wednesday, Obama made a stop at OSU in Ohio and the president and three others made a nice attempt at spelling a brain-twisting word. Ready?  OHIO.  That’s right Ohio, I mean I had to look up the word just to spell it in this post.

Below was their first attempt, which ended fantastically.

First attempt at spelling Ohio

But let’s be fair they did try again and this time succeeded.

Finally, they got it.

Thursday 8/24:

Atheists targeted a high school football coach in Madison, Wisconsin because he dared to allow churches to feed the players, because it is “unconstitutional.”  Oh, come on!  What is wrong with these Freedom From Religion morons. According to the FFRF:

“Taking public school football teams to church, even for a meal, is unconstitutional,” FFRF attorney Andrew Seidel wrote in a letter to the district. “This program is an egregious violation of the Establishment Clause and must cease immediately.”

Let’s go back to the Constitution and see what it says about feeding kids.

Amendment 1:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…

Nothing about feeding kids.  However it does basically say, congress shall not create a national religion or interfere with religion and religious expression.  There is actually no phrase stating seperation of church and state in the constitution.  That term was taken out of a letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Dansbury Baptist’s who had concerns that the constitution would constrict Christianity.  Jefferson told the Dansbury baptist’s:

…that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church & State…

Speaks for itself. State has to stay out of the church.

For the whole letter click here.

Friday 8/25:

Is the Obama campaign getting a little desperate?  It seems they sent out the same email to supporters six times.  My theory is that they could just be  running their campaign like the government and have six people doing the same job, and none of them know what the other five are doing.  Not very news worthy but still pretty funny.

By the way. Doesn’t Obama kinda look like Tony Montana?

You know maybe I’ll do this every week.

Democrat Lawmaker Caught Having Oral Sex With Teen

Look at his teeth. This is one Fugly guy.

Where is the mainstream media on this.  Other than a few blogs and a couple news sites, no one is covering this.  Apparently a Democrat representative from Minnesota connected with a seventeen year old boy on Craigslist and was caught having oral sex with him at a public rest stop.  If this were a Republican, you know the left and the MSM would be salivating over this.  This is conduct unbecoming of a public representative and he should resign.  But instead, we are focusing on other things going on like a candidate who made a stupid comment about rape, how can we find some dirt on Mitt Romney, or the whole “shirtless Paul Ryan photo” crap.

As Miss Ruth from Misfit Politics says in her recent post:

Before someone starts hollering and lecturing about accountability and policing our own when it comes to whichever politician is on the chopping block this time, let’s get a couple of things straight: I stand with continuing the efforts to keep the Right as the side of morals. I agree keeping our politicians in check is a good cause. I do not, however, think we should kill our own soldiers when the Left is doing a fine job of it on their own.

Thank You to everyone from Misfit Politics for your hard work and keeping us entertained, you guys are awesome.

Police Find Stockpile of Possible Occutard Weapons Near RNC Location

Anonymous graffiti near location of confiscated materials.

It seems a bunch of Anonymous and/or Occupiers have been busy stockpiling items to use during the RNC. You know, just the typical signs and bullhorns. Oh wait. Sorry, I was thinking they were peaceful, like the Tea Partier’s. I meant bricks, pipes and other “suspicious” items. There were probably some glass bottles, maybe filled with flammable liquid, bags of feces, who knows.

True domestic terrorists in my opinion. Luckily the police confiscated the items, but if I were them, I would be on the lookout for more of these stockpiles.

Another Reason To Support Paul Ryan

I am a gun enthusiast. I am a conservative Christian. Let the hate filled comments fly.  I am not ashamed of my heritage. I guess you could go as far as saying I cling to my guns and religion. America was created with the help of these two things, and the progressive agenda of the left, trying to ban firearms, will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Revolution will rise up if this happens and unfortunately the left will regret there decisions.  I am NOT advocating violence. Revolution can come in many forms, from peaceful demonstrations all the way up to a French style revolution.  Conservative Americans are not a violent people.  Our type of revolution will be simply voting these power hungry, nanny state, commies out of office and replacing them with like minded, God fearing, freedom loving representatives of the real American.

People like Paul Ryan. Today he has made headlines stating he is “happy” to cling to his guns and religion.  This is another of the many reasons Paul Ryan will stir up the conservative base and we will take back our country from those who want to destroy it.

Muslim Brotherhood Crucifies Opposition

The group of “freedom fighter’s” that President Obama backed are now crucifying those who oppose the newly elected ‘Muslim Brotherhood’ president.  Before you rush to judgement, don’t forget they are a group of misunderstood, peace loving people who just want the freedom to practice their religion like everyone else in the world.  They also pick flowers everyday and send them to Israel and Israel gives them blankets full of AIDS and smallpox. So there must be a reason that they have to defend themselves by crucifying opponents.

Obviously not.  The ‘Muslim Brotherhood’ is a violent terrorist group clinging to their Koran’s and their guns.

Paul Ryan Takes Shot At Joe Biden

Today vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan was campaigning in Canton, OH.  During his speech, he took a jab at the gaffe machine that is Joe Biden.

“It’s great to be here in North Canton, or as Joe Biden might say, it’s great to be here in Nevada!” Ryan said.

It’s nice to see a candidate not afraid to take on the other candidates.  Now if only Romney could be take a page out the Ryan’s book and show America he is not just some boring stiff.

Dave Mustaine Blames Obama For Recent Gun Violence

I love Megadeth and Dave Mustaine is, in my opinion, the greatest metal gutarist ever. He is a born again Christian and conservative. Mustaine has always been kind of anti-government, as reflected in many of Megadeth’s songs. Unfortunately he has recently come out with a statement, while preforming in Singapore, claiming that President Barack Obama and his administration staged the ‘Fast and Furious’ debacle, Colorado ‘Dark Knight’ shooting, and the Sikh temple shooting in order to pass gun bans.

Now I do personally agree that Eric Holder, at the least, was using the ‘Fast and Furious’ gun running operation to try and create a crisis where guns should need to be banned. Again personal opinion. However the claims about any of the shootings being orchestrated by the president or any of our government officials is absurd. At least I hope they are…
