No Guns, No Rights

The beauty that is the AR-15, or as the MSM call it: The AK-47.

(I apologize for the lack of posts in the last few months. I finally had a chance to sit down and write last week and there has been a lot of new information out on the whole gun control issue.  Obama threatening Executive Orders, etc.  So again, I apologize for the lateness of this post, but I hope you enjoy.)

I have to admit, I’m a little pissed.  Not only am I fuming about the recent developments in the attempts to control guns in america, but I’m appalled at how organizations, the nitwits known as celebrities, and news outlets are portraying and demonizing Americans.  They are going all out in trying to punish and endanger people just for wanting to protect themselves and their families.  I mean, I understand it’s the mainstream media, stupid is as stupid does,  but it’s getting a little out of hand.  Actually way out of hand.

Having a newspaper or any other news organization, or even a citizen, do something as reckless and endangering to society, as giving out addresses of people who own guns is just pure evil.  This can only end one of two ways.

The first way it could end is bad, but in my opinion less likely.  Criminals will target these individuals in an attempt to obtain more firepower to help them continue their crimes.  Stealing guns from private citizens is an ideal way to obtain a weapon to use for any sort of illegal activity.  They don’t have to pay anyone for them, they don’t have to get a license or fingerprinted.  If a citizen wasn’t smart enough to have safeguards in place to prevent their guns from being stolen, such as a safe, you can be sure there would be ammo and accessories for a gun as well.  Yes, this would be great for them indeed.

The only problem is, and the only possible silver lining for gun owners would be, this.  If I was, let’s say a burglar, and I was trying to decide which house to break into.  I now have a handy-dandy guide to which houses would be the safest.  Let’s face it.  Would you rather have a shoot out with the person you were robbing, or be the person with the gun in a gun vs. bat battle royale?  The main concern gun owners would have to worry about is organized criminals looking specifically for weapons to steal.

The second option, and I fear the most likely, is the criminals and suicidal psychopaths going after those who are not armed.  It is a fact that mass shootings only occur at places where people are unarmed.  Yes, there are slight exceptions to this rule.  Like people are allowed to conceal carry in most if not all malls.  To my point though, to my knowledge there has never been a mass shooting at, let’s say, a gun club.  These people know they will be able to take out as many people as they want before they turn the gun on themselves.

Gun violence is nowhere near as bad as the media makes it out to be, and they’re downright idiotic to think that taking away people’s gun, or even tightening control of them, will make anyone safer.  I have seen statistics lying around all week.  Like the fact murders involving guns are far lower than murder with hammers.  I don’t hear a ban on hammers being called from Diane Feinstein. Gun control will only make things worse, and mass shootings will increase.

I know, I hear some of you liberal sissies out there saying “why do you need a 30 round clip in your AR-15?  You only need five bullets max for hunting.  True.  While it’s true that I can kill Bambi with one shot, that’s not the reason I need the 30 round clip.  Let’s think about this for a second.  If I can only have a gun with five rounds per clip, what happens when an out of control government, comes after us with their high-capacity, fully automatic weapons.  Oh, that’s right, we only have 5 rounds to protect ourselves.  Looks like we’re screwed.

The fact of the matter is that if we lose one, any one, of our rights, given to us by God and our founding fathers, we will lose them all.  If we were to lose the 2nd amendment completely, in mere months, maybe a year, we would lose all our rights.  The right to worship who and wherever we want.  The freedom to speak freely about anything and everything we want, especially  an out of control government.  Etc, etc, etc.

I just wish those in the MSM and our representatives would pull their heads out of the asses every once in a while to read the pulse of the nation and realize that just because they don’t like guns, doesn’t mean the world is going to hell.  We could always take the guns away from the secret service and the bodyguards hired by celebrities and see how safe they feel then.  The whole situation is actually not as bad as you guys make it out to be.  Stop believing your lies and everything will be fine.

You could hate guns if you want, you could even hate me for having them, I could care less.  Just remember this, you’ll be glad some day if someone saves your life due to the 2nd amendment.

Government Won’t Sell Shares Back To GM

After years of being labeled Government Motors, General Motors wants to take control of their company again.  They believe that the government ownership is giving GM a bad image.  Sounds nice, if I were them I would not want the government having the controlling stock of my company either.  I also would not have sold it to the government in the first place, but I guess hindsight’s 20/20.

The Treasury Department responded by basically saying, to bad.  Apparently, the Treasury Department is afraid that selling the shares back to GM would cost the government billions of dollars.  Yes, losing Americans money is bad, however, let’s look at this in a different way.  If the government loses billions of dollars in the failed experiment that was the auto bailout, then it will look very bad for Obama and his re-election.  Let’s not forget that Obama and Biden have been talking up GM as a success.

This is exactly what EVERYONE has said from the beginning.  If you give your company to the government, they won’t give it back.  We are heading into some dark times and the more we give the government, either voluntarily or other wise, the more it will be used against us.  Failing companies need to fail, the government needs to get out of everyone’s business, and we need to take back our freedom.

Viva La Revolution, At… the RNC?

I hope this post makes sense to someone. I was half asleep when I wrote it and to be honest I never paid much attention to how the RNC works.  All I know is that the liberals think Republican’s are summoning Lucifer, and  it’s where the Republican Presidential Nominee is chosen.  So bear with me.

Shame on you, all of you.  Not you, the idiots down at the RNC.  Today there was almost an all out brawl between Ron Paul supporters and I guess you’d say…’Romney supporters’?  The problems apparently started in the RNC only sat two of the three delegates controlled by Ron Paul supporters.  This move was met by protest.  Ron Paul supporters (to make it easier, I am going to call them Paul-kaholics, and I am NOT insinuating they are alcoholics) started shouting “point of order” and  “no,” among other things.  Romeney supporters (I now dub Romnites) began yelling back “U-S-A.”  First off, Really, USA,  come on, these guys aren’t freaking Occupy protesters.  Second, they’re just as frustrated with how America is going down the tubes as we are, some of them might be a little on the crazy side, but they are our still our conservative brothers and sisters.

We have a common goal as conservatives, removing one of the greatest threats to our American sovereignty we’ve ever seen.  Instead we are acting like a bunch of children.  I’m not blaming one side over the other, this is a problem with Paul-kaholics and also the Romnites.  We need to sit down, shut up, and work together to get Obama out of office.  I know Paul-kaholics don’t like Romney, heck if it wasn’t for Paul Ryan, I would almost feel dirty voting for Romney.  However, they are going to get the nomination and we need to stop being so moronic.  There is a good chance that Ron Paul could split the vote between Romney and him, which would be a repeat of the whole Ross Perot debacle back in the 90’s.  To say Romney is just as bad for America as Obama, is absolutely absurd.

Shame on you Paul-kaholics. Shame on you Romnites. And screw you RINO’s, everyone hates you anyway.

Bring Your Guns to Church?

WWJD?

I saw a story on TheBlaze this morning, “Should Churchgoers Be Able to Bring Guns to Houses of Worship?”  This is a very thought provoking question and I know people on both sides of this issue.  Let’s set aside the political aspect of this thought and look at the underlying question.  Should Christian be able to defend themselves?  As Americans, this is an obvious yes.  It’s written in the constitution that Americans should be able to ‘keep and bear arms’ so they can protect themselves.  It is an American right and a natural right.

Let’s look at what has happened in the past.  There is a great Documentary out called ‘Shooting Back,’ which details how a church in Africa was targeted by Muslims.  While the church was in service, the men entered throwing grenades and shooting people.  One man was armed and fired back.  The men retreated after that.  If this man had not been “packing heat,” most if not all of them would have been killed.  It is also widely known that Christian persecution throughout the world is rampant and in most cases any caught with a Bible or having a Christian church service are executed.

Just look what’s happening in America.  In just about a month we’ve had a handful of shootings.  These crimes are happening in public places where the assailants know the victims will be unarmed.  One happened in a movie theatre, one in a college, one in a sikh temple, and one in a Christian organization.  The FRC shooting in Washington D.C. was direct attack on Christians by extreme leftists.  Hate crimes against Christians are on the rise.  There was a study just released that on more than 600 documented cases of hostility against Christians in the U.S.  That’s just the documented ones, who knows how many are undocumented.

I’ve said it before, and at the risk of being called someone who “clings to my religion and my guns”, I am going to cling to my religion and my guns!  I think that carrying in church is something that you need to decide on yourself and talk with your pastor, priest, or rabbi about.  It is not against the law, a church is private property, and I feel that there is enough threat in this world to validate bringing a gun to church.

Political Fails of the Week: 8/20 – 8/24

This is what I thought were the best political stories, or just plain fails, that made me chuckle this week.

Monday 8/20:

I laughed at first, then I’ll admit I cried a little after reading the story about what happened to our tax payer dollars that went into ‘Solyndra’.  Turns out some of it is now “modern art.” I cringe when I hear those words.  It usually means a bunch of garbage stacked into a pile, and is called a “sculpture.”  Most of it is hideous, but you gotta admit it is kind of amazing, or sickening if you prefer, how millions of dollars turns into some okay looking art.

Tubes manufactured by Solyndra now “modern art.”

Tuesday 8/21:

During the First Friday Festival in downtown Phoenix, AZ, a woman was confronted by a city official and told to stop giving out free water bottles. Why? Because she didn’t have a permit. That’s right, she wasn’t selling them, she was giving them away. Free.  I’m sure that along with the permit she probably also needed a food handlers card.  This just shows how brainless our government is.

This just goes back to all the ridiculous stories in the news in the past few years about the government shutting down the only income families have because they missed a step in maze of paperwork or permits.  Let’s not forget the pathetic attempts at shutting down kids lemonade stands.  Here in Olympia, WA you can’t sell pre-cooked food, that’s pre cooked food, you know that can’t hurt anyone even if you ate it cold, without a permit, business license, and food handler cards.  Even for a one or two day fundraiser.

Common sense is obviously gone in this country.  Which is bad because I believe all you need to survive in life is common sense.  Well that and a work ethic.  But let’s not get carried away.  If everyone had those we wouldn’t need the government.

Wednesday 8/22:

So we all know that liberals aren’t really the brightest group of people.  Give them a simple question or word to spell and the blow it every time.  On Wednesday, Obama made a stop at OSU in Ohio and the president and three others made a nice attempt at spelling a brain-twisting word. Ready?  OHIO.  That’s right Ohio, I mean I had to look up the word just to spell it in this post.

Below was their first attempt, which ended fantastically.

First attempt at spelling Ohio

But let’s be fair they did try again and this time succeeded.

Finally, they got it.

Thursday 8/24:

Atheists targeted a high school football coach in Madison, Wisconsin because he dared to allow churches to feed the players, because it is “unconstitutional.”  Oh, come on!  What is wrong with these Freedom From Religion morons. According to the FFRF:

“Taking public school football teams to church, even for a meal, is unconstitutional,” FFRF attorney Andrew Seidel wrote in a letter to the district. “This program is an egregious violation of the Establishment Clause and must cease immediately.”

Let’s go back to the Constitution and see what it says about feeding kids.

Amendment 1:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…

Nothing about feeding kids.  However it does basically say, congress shall not create a national religion or interfere with religion and religious expression.  There is actually no phrase stating seperation of church and state in the constitution.  That term was taken out of a letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Dansbury Baptist’s who had concerns that the constitution would constrict Christianity.  Jefferson told the Dansbury baptist’s:

…that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church & State…

Speaks for itself. State has to stay out of the church.

For the whole letter click here.

Friday 8/25:

Is the Obama campaign getting a little desperate?  It seems they sent out the same email to supporters six times.  My theory is that they could just be  running their campaign like the government and have six people doing the same job, and none of them know what the other five are doing.  Not very news worthy but still pretty funny.

Full story at TheBlaze

By the way. Doesn’t Obama kinda look like Tony Montana?

You know maybe I’ll do this every week.

Pray For the Shooting Victims

First off I ask that you pray for the victims of the horrendous shooting near the Empire State Building.  I ask that you also pray for the shooters family.  This man was a coward and a killer, but he might have had a wife and children that are grieving as well.

I don’t know if the shootings that happened the last couple weeks are an uncommon occurrence, or if the shootings are happening more often. There is a fews ways to break this down.

  1. This is a new trend.  It doesn’t happen all the time.
I doubt this is the case, but if it is then this will end up either good or bad.  It could be the end of these types of shootings, though I doubt it, and maybe we’ll all live in harmony. It could also be the beginning and we see more cowards “taking revenge” on those they think did them wrong.  For some reason people nowadays must be more emotional or something, because losing a job or someone picking on you does not justify shooting anyone, or suicide for that matter.
  2. This happens all the time and the media just doesn’t report it, because there is more important news to get to the public.
I hope this is the case, because let’s face it, people do bad things to other people. Not just shooting them.  The amount of shootings that happen everyday, I’m sure, are a lot.  There is no need to use this politically.
  3. This happens all the time, but the media doesn’t report it because it doesn’t fit their agenda.
I hope this is not the case, because it means the media is not doing it’s job.  I wouldn’t put it past the leftist media to hide facts and pick and choose their stories to push their progressive liberal agenda though.  This would be shameful and in my opinion criminal.

Since it’s already being politicized, let’s look at gun control.  Manhattan has a ban on handguns, yet this person was able to get a gun and shoot up a bunch of people because he got fired. A year ago.  If Manhattan was a city where anyone could conceal carry, most criminals would think twice before robbing or hurting someone.  Also, if someone was to go on a rampage, they would be shot down before a lot of people were hurt.  Politicians and the media have been politicizing shootings for years to try and sway public opinion on gun control in their favor.  Why aren’t we doing the same for those whack jobs that got on a knifing spree.  It happens.  So let’s not look at these and only see the gun.  Let’s look at it for what it really is cowards hurting other people.

-UPDATE:

It looks like most of the injured might have been from the police shooting the suspect.  That’s right, it seems the shooter may have only fired one shot, and unfortunately killed his target.  He then left and was followed by a construction worker, who notified police about what happened.  When confronted the suspect did pull the gun out of his bag and was shot by the police officers.

So how many bullets does it take to stop someone?  I would say three rounds to the chest will stop most anyone, but police lately seem to have to fire way to many bullets at a suspect.  Maybe they need a little more range time, I don’t know.  I am not downplaying the stress and risk officers take everyday they are on the street.  Just making an observation.

ACORN? Still Alive? It’s True

It seems that 174 chapters of the notorious Association of Community Organizer for Reform Now (ACORN) is still kicking and screaming despite the incriminating sting video by Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe.  It seems all they did was change their name in most cases. The nonprofit Cause of Action uncovered the groups “brilliant” plan to cover up their true nature.

The connections between these groups and the old ACORN groups include: having the same physical location, sharing leadership or staff or having the same tax ID number. “For some of these groups, all they did was legally change their name. Nothing else changed. The corporate structure, leadership and staff are the same,” said Karen Groen Olea, Cause of Action’s chief counsel.

It’s just amazingly funny how they thought they could just change the name on the door and think no one would find out.  Silly Liberals.

Democrat Lawmaker Caught Having Oral Sex With Teen

Look at his teeth. This is one Fugly guy.

Where is the mainstream media on this.  Other than a few blogs and a couple news sites, no one is covering this.  Apparently a Democrat representative from Minnesota connected with a seventeen year old boy on Craigslist and was caught having oral sex with him at a public rest stop.  If this were a Republican, you know the left and the MSM would be salivating over this.  This is conduct unbecoming of a public representative and he should resign.  But instead, we are focusing on other things going on like a candidate who made a stupid comment about rape, how can we find some dirt on Mitt Romney, or the whole “shirtless Paul Ryan photo” crap.

As Miss Ruth from Misfit Politics says in her recent post:

Before someone starts hollering and lecturing about accountability and policing our own when it comes to whichever politician is on the chopping block this time, let’s get a couple of things straight: I stand with continuing the efforts to keep the Right as the side of morals. I agree keeping our politicians in check is a good cause. I do not, however, think we should kill our own soldiers when the Left is doing a fine job of it on their own.

Thank You to everyone from Misfit Politics for your hard work and keeping us entertained, you guys are awesome.

Police Find Stockpile of Possible Occutard Weapons Near RNC Location

Anonymous graffiti near location of confiscated materials.

It seems a bunch of Anonymous and/or Occupiers have been busy stockpiling items to use during the RNC. You know, just the typical signs and bullhorns. Oh wait. Sorry, I was thinking they were peaceful, like the Tea Partier’s. I meant bricks, pipes and other “suspicious” items. There were probably some glass bottles, maybe filled with flammable liquid, bags of feces, who knows.

True domestic terrorists in my opinion. Luckily the police confiscated the items, but if I were them, I would be on the lookout for more of these stockpiles.

Another Reason To Support Paul Ryan

I am a gun enthusiast. I am a conservative Christian. Let the hate filled comments fly.  I am not ashamed of my heritage. I guess you could go as far as saying I cling to my guns and religion. America was created with the help of these two things, and the progressive agenda of the left, trying to ban firearms, will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Revolution will rise up if this happens and unfortunately the left will regret there decisions.  I am NOT advocating violence. Revolution can come in many forms, from peaceful demonstrations all the way up to a French style revolution.  Conservative Americans are not a violent people.  Our type of revolution will be simply voting these power hungry, nanny state, commies out of office and replacing them with like minded, God fearing, freedom loving representatives of the real American.

People like Paul Ryan. Today he has made headlines stating he is “happy” to cling to his guns and religion.  This is another of the many reasons Paul Ryan will stir up the conservative base and we will take back our country from those who want to destroy it.
