No Guns, No Rights

The beauty that is the AR-15, or as the MSM call it: The AK-47.

(I apologize for the lack of posts in the last few months. I finally had a chance to sit down and write last week and there has been a lot of new information out on the whole gun control issue.  Obama threatening Executive Orders, etc.  So again, I apologize for the lateness of this post, but I hope you enjoy.)

I have to admit, I’m a little pissed.  Not only am I fuming about the recent developments in the attempts to control guns in america, but I’m appalled at how organizations, the nitwits known as celebrities, and news outlets are portraying and demonizing Americans.  They are going all out in trying to punish and endanger people just for wanting to protect themselves and their families.  I mean, I understand it’s the mainstream media, stupid is as stupid does,  but it’s getting a little out of hand.  Actually way out of hand.

Having a newspaper or any other news organization, or even a citizen, do something as reckless and endangering to society, as giving out addresses of people who own guns is just pure evil.  This can only end one of two ways.

The first way it could end is bad, but in my opinion less likely.  Criminals will target these individuals in an attempt to obtain more firepower to help them continue their crimes.  Stealing guns from private citizens is an ideal way to obtain a weapon to use for any sort of illegal activity.  They don’t have to pay anyone for them, they don’t have to get a license or fingerprinted.  If a citizen wasn’t smart enough to have safeguards in place to prevent their guns from being stolen, such as a safe, you can be sure there would be ammo and accessories for a gun as well.  Yes, this would be great for them indeed.

The only problem is, and the only possible silver lining for gun owners would be, this.  If I was, let’s say a burglar, and I was trying to decide which house to break into.  I now have a handy-dandy guide to which houses would be the safest.  Let’s face it.  Would you rather have a shoot out with the person you were robbing, or be the person with the gun in a gun vs. bat battle royale?  The main concern gun owners would have to worry about is organized criminals looking specifically for weapons to steal.

The second option, and I fear the most likely, is the criminals and suicidal psychopaths going after those who are not armed.  It is a fact that mass shootings only occur at places where people are unarmed.  Yes, there are slight exceptions to this rule.  Like people are allowed to conceal carry in most if not all malls.  To my point though, to my knowledge there has never been a mass shooting at, let’s say, a gun club.  These people know they will be able to take out as many people as they want before they turn the gun on themselves.

Gun violence is nowhere near as bad as the media makes it out to be, and they’re downright idiotic to think that taking away people’s gun, or even tightening control of them, will make anyone safer.  I have seen statistics lying around all week.  Like the fact murders involving guns are far lower than murder with hammers.  I don’t hear a ban on hammers being called from Diane Feinstein. Gun control will only make things worse, and mass shootings will increase.

I know, I hear some of you liberal sissies out there saying “why do you need a 30 round clip in your AR-15?  You only need five bullets max for hunting.  True.  While it’s true that I can kill Bambi with one shot, that’s not the reason I need the 30 round clip.  Let’s think about this for a second.  If I can only have a gun with five rounds per clip, what happens when an out of control government, comes after us with their high-capacity, fully automatic weapons.  Oh, that’s right, we only have 5 rounds to protect ourselves.  Looks like we’re screwed.

The fact of the matter is that if we lose one, any one, of our rights, given to us by God and our founding fathers, we will lose them all.  If we were to lose the 2nd amendment completely, in mere months, maybe a year, we would lose all our rights.  The right to worship who and wherever we want.  The freedom to speak freely about anything and everything we want, especially  an out of control government.  Etc, etc, etc.

I just wish those in the MSM and our representatives would pull their heads out of the asses every once in a while to read the pulse of the nation and realize that just because they don’t like guns, doesn’t mean the world is going to hell.  We could always take the guns away from the secret service and the bodyguards hired by celebrities and see how safe they feel then.  The whole situation is actually not as bad as you guys make it out to be.  Stop believing your lies and everything will be fine.

You could hate guns if you want, you could even hate me for having them, I could care less.  Just remember this, you’ll be glad some day if someone saves your life due to the 2nd amendment.

Political Fails #7

This week was a little slower, I think, due to the debate and everyone covering that more than normal news.  I did manage to find a few stories that were definitely down the fail line, though.

Monday 10/15:

I didn’t see this on Monday, but according to  Mark Halperin, a veteran politics reporter, both Obama and Romney campaign’s had complaints about having Candy Crowely as the moderator for the debate.  They apparently weren’t happy with the way she might inject herself into the debate.  Being as it was a townhall format the audience is the one’s who should steer where the debate would go.

From Halperin’s TIME report:

While an early October memorandum of understanding between the Obama and Romney campaigns and the bipartisan commission sponsoring the debates suggests CNN’s Candy Crowley would play a limited role in the Tuesday-night session, Crowley, who is not a party to that agreement, has done a series of interviews on her network in which she has suggested she will assume a broader set of responsibilities. As Crowley put it last week, “Once the table is kind of set by the town-hall questioner, there is then time for me to say, ‘Hey, wait a second, what about X, Y, Z?’”

So it’s not all that surprising she was jumping into the conversation like she did.

Tuesday 10/16:

I always told my friends and family that when smoking was banned in restaurants in California, it would spread to other states and then turn on citizens.  Sure enough, not long after the bans in California, my home state of Washington banned it in businesses as well.  Then there was talk, I don’t know if anything was passed, about banning smoking in you cars.  I know that some people are idiots and smoke with infants and children in their cars.  Those people are just that idiots, but I’m at the point where if the government tries telling me to do something I say screw it.  I want the government out of everything.

Recently, however, San Rafael, a suburb of San Francisco, decided to implement a ban on smoking in peoples homes.  Alright at least in multi-family homes and apartments, but still.  I’m sure these city officials and politicians mean well, but when you take our choice away, you become, in effect, tyrants.  Mark my words, in the near future there will be bans on smoking in all homes, then you’ll have to be 25 feet from doorways and windows, then no smoking at all.  Just for your information, I am not a smoker, but people have the right to put whatever they want in their bodies, no one has the right to tell me or you what to do with my body.  Or does that only work when it comes to abortion?

Wednesday 10/17:

This is just terrifying.  What happens when you go out into Hollywood, four hours before the presidential debate and interview people on how the debate went, before it even started?  That makes sense, right?  Anyway, Jimmey Kimmel found that out.  I don’t watch any of the late night shows, but this clip that I found on TheBlaze was just too good to pass up.  So here it is, you make your own opinion about it.

Thursday 10/18:

So there were actually a lot of stories to choose from on Thursday to add to the ‘Political Fails’ post.  So I have to go with the classic, a Biden gaffe.  While in Las Vegas Thursday, Biden actually asked the crowd of supporters if they knew anyone serving or who had been injured in Iraq or Iran.  Now Biden being confused is nothing new, but the worst part is that no one corrected him, even after repeating the gaffe a couple of times.  They just went along with it.  Either they forgot we weren’t in Iran, or they just go with it, because let’s face it, it’s Joe Biden.

Friday 10/19:

Friday was yet another hard day to choose a story from so I decided to do two.  The first is a video of a “Obama Super Fan” during a man on the street interview.  I don’t know what to say, it is just so mind blowing how, for lack of a nicer term, stupid this person is.  It seems to me that there might be a lot of people, even amongst the least intelligent, that realize communism and socialism are bad, but they are so blinded by Obama and the democrats that they think Romney is the communist.  I never thought this possible, but as you will soon see for yourself it is.

The second is again of our “great” VP Joe Biden, being well, Joe Biden on the stage.  While a lady, who is a cancer survivor was speaking,  Biden was being a little interruptive.  He was just trying to get everyone to sit down, but it was hilarious. You just have to watch and see.

I will leave you with this today, Governor Romney roasting President Obama and the MSM. Have a great week.

Dave Mustaine Blames Obama For Recent Gun Violence

I love Megadeth and Dave Mustaine is, in my opinion, the greatest metal gutarist ever. He is a born again Christian and conservative. Mustaine has always been kind of anti-government, as reflected in many of Megadeth’s songs. Unfortunately he has recently come out with a statement, while preforming in Singapore, claiming that President Barack Obama and his administration staged the ‘Fast and Furious’ debacle, Colorado ‘Dark Knight’ shooting, and the Sikh temple shooting in order to pass gun bans.

Now I do personally agree that Eric Holder, at the least, was using the ‘Fast and Furious’ gun running operation to try and create a crisis where guns should need to be banned. Again personal opinion. However the claims about any of the shootings being orchestrated by the president or any of our government officials is absurd. At least I hope they are…
