Debate #1 – August 2015

debateDebates. Why the do we even care about them outside of the Democrat vs. Republican context? I find that it’s just a chance for “like-minded” presidential hopefuls to bicker amongst each other for two hours and not say a damn thing. Thursday night was no exception.

We started off with the FOX moderators asking the candidates if they would run third party if they didn’t get the nomination. This was telling in how the stage would be set for the debate. A blatant attempt to Donald Trump and make him look like a fool, and of course Trump fell for it. Now, I’m no fan of Trump, I think he’s a blow hard, egotistical ass hat. That being said, I am extremely disappointed in FOX News attacking him the way they did. Megyn Kelly, especially, was a bit of a bitch. They handled themselves very poorly and it was apparent they went into the debate holding a grudge against Trump.

Trump gave straight, confident answers, sort of. He only told us what most of us want to hear, and his answers were very arrogant. Basically, “I’m super rich [which isn’t a problem in my book], everyone loves me [not really] and I did some shady shit with the system to get ahead in business [true].” He got a few jabs in on the others, as well as Rosie O’Donnell, but all in all he did pretty poorly.

Jeb Bush. Just, fuck no. Set aside the fact we do not need a dynasty when it comes to presidents. I mean I liked Dubya, sometimes, but there were a lot of things that I did not like about him. His brother Jeb is one in the same. He’s pro-open borders, pro-common core, his wife can barely speak english [I’ve been told], he’s a RINO, a wolf in sheep’s clothing and of course a Bush. Need I say more.

Chris Christie is another creature all together. New Jersey governor, RINO, hugger of Obama. It’s fair to say that he and Jeb are pretty much the farthest left of those in the debate. I honestly can’t remember all he said because I can’t stand the guy. He did get into it with Rand Paul over NSA spying. Long story short, Christie is all for it.

I used to like Rubio, and I will say that he probably has views that match a lot of my own. But come on. Even he basically wants amnesty. He was probably the most Presidential of all the guys though. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t he get elected riding on the shoulders of the Tea Party and then basically thank them by somewhat jumping ship on some major conservative issues? I don’t know. I just don’t really like him anymore.

Governor Kasich seems like a beady eyed little kook. He loves big government and Obamacare apparently. The only reason he got the response he did when answering questions was because he had home field advantage.

Huckabee just won’t be President, plain and simple. Sorry Huckster.

Ben Carson did surprisingly well, I thought. He needs to work on his facts though. As I was talking to my brother afterwards and he pointed out that the USAF was formed in 1947, not 1940. Admittedly a small mistake, but it’s something that will be used against him in the future, especially from the Democrats that aim for the jugular.

Rand Paul got absolutely no time . I think he got a total of 5 minutes and some change total for the two hour debate. I think FOX News thinks he is a truther, an evil libertarian, he wants to legalize all the drugs, and he’s a hippie who is just a threat to the Republican establishment.

Scott Walker? Meh. He seems to be a pretty staunch conservative, in my opinion. Dealing with all the union bullshit in Wisconsin. I believe he is a man of his word and has more integrity than other established douchebag Republicans. Still not sure he will make it far in the nomination process though.

Ted Cruz? He’s my homeboy. From calling Mitch McConnell a liar on the Senate floor to reading ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ as a filibuster. [Side-note, best Dr. Seuss book period.] [Side-side-note, that was not a Megyn Kelly period joke.] Anyway, I may be a bit biased towards this shining example of a human being, but I think he gave the some of the best answers. Unfortunately, I still don’t know if he would be a good Republican nominee at this time.

I missed the pre-debate debate, but heard Carly Fiorina utterly killed it. Hopefully she will make it to the main debate next time. I am really hopeful that we will see the dream team of a Trump/Bush ticket and have another four to eight years of Democrat rule.

Celebrity Hacks Politicize Connecticut School Shooting

Today, as I was relaxing on my couch, trying with all I have to beat this infernal sinus infection, I get word of yet another tragedy unfolding in our already troubled nation.  Another coward makes headlines on all the news stations across the country.  What is this nation coming to?  The tragedy that happened on the 14th is almost beyond comprehension.  A mad man, a coward in the truest definition of the word, hell-bent on death and destruction, shoots up an elementary school.  This is the worst of worst case scenarios.

In the distance, I can hear it coming.  The faint sound of the mindless drones, that dwell the cesspool that is hollywood, stirring in their multi-million dollar homes.  Surely they won’t do it.  Not today.  They have more “class” than that.  Even the leftist politicians know you shouldn’t politicize a tragedy like this on the same day it occurred.  That would be bad for business.  Alas, I comes like a tidal wave… alright a small wave, of complete and utter ignorance and stupidity.

The has-been’s and loonies, I’m looking at you Alec Baldwin, open their foot sized blow-hole that some call a mouth.  The words spew forth like bile and vomit.  Words that echo the talking points of Hitler and his buddies back in the days leading up to the holocaust.  “We need gun control, NOW.”  They cackle like the vultures they are.  Already pecking at the dead bodies of the students and teachers to feed their hunger for attention.   Another describes those that believe in and protect the 2nd amendment as the epitome of stupidity.  Then they turn and hide behind their armed bodyguards and, most likely, their guns.  You know, the ones they use for protection.

These pathetic ingrates, these hypocrites, say they stand for the “safety” of the American people.  When all they really wants is to be in the public eye again.  They whore themselves out for the attention they crave.  They have no respect for the families going through hell right now, it’s really all about them.

I was going to hold off for a while before I addressed the gun control freaks in this country, but now is just as good a time as any thanks to these jerks.  The fact you believe in gun control puts you in the same class of douche bags as the Nazis back in WWII.  There I said it.  Idiots like Alec Baldwin and Patton Oswalt are basically Nazis.  In fact anyone who aligns themselves with the left is basically a Nazi.  Their ideas are one in the same.

Time and time again it has been proven that taking away the guns of a population opens the door for more crimes, crimes that do become more violent.  A criminal doesn’t always go to a gun shop to buy the pistol he will later use to rob a bank or murder an innocent bystander.  They obtain them illegally, you know through nefarious means, such as previous crimes or gun runners.  Asking a society to disarm is like asking that society to allow themselves to be raped and murdered, not necessarily in that order.

If the entire population was ordered to disarm themselves, and they did so peacefully.  Do you know who the first group of people would be to buy guns, illegally, for protection will be?  Not the teapartiers, not republicans or even those clinging to their “guns and their religion.”  The very first people to break the law will be the hollywood elite.  They already see themselves above the law.  Well either that or the government would allow them to keep their guns because they’re such important people.  Much more important than the average joe.

I’ll be the first to admit it, a world where guns were not needed would be great, but that will never happen.  There is just evil people out their in the world.  What we need is a trained and armed society.  One that not only takes care of their family, friends, and neighbors, but also has the back of the stranger in the mall.  If everyone, teachers included, carried a firearm, tragedies like this, as well as all the other shootings, could have been prevented, or at least, ended with fewer people dead and wounded.

American Insurgency

“Periodic revolution, ‘at least once every 20 years,’ was ‘a medicine necessary for the sound health of government.’” Thomas Jefferson.

America was founded on insurgency, as we all know, and according to this quote, we are long overdue for a new revolution.  Now I’m not talking insurgency like what’s going in the Middle East.  Palestinian “freedom fighters” are nothing more than terrorists and thugs whose goal is to eradicate a race of people off the face of the earth.  I’m talking about a revolution to take back the freedom that the government has taken away from us in the last 60 years.

Thomas Jefferson, as well as the rest of the founding fathers, knew that a government would long to have more and more control of everyone and everything they can get their grubby little hands on.  To borrow quote from Stan Lee ,”with great power comes great responsibility.”  The problem we have is that the government wants an ever-growing power with the benefit of passing the responsibility to someone else, i.e. tax the rich.  We need to have a revolution in this country and force those in our government to listen to us again.  I’m not suggesting taking up arms.  Yet.

We have a responsibility to our family, friends, and neighbors to make sure we elect the right representatives into office, representatives who will then make the needed decisions to help this country thrive.  This starts not with the president, but closer to home.  The most important campaigns are run in our own backyards and a lot of us don’t pay any attention to them.  I would find it hard to believe that any of us know every elected official in our local city hall.  How about in the county we live in.  For some reason our only focus is what’s happening, a little bit  at the state level, but mainly at the national level.

We need to change this.  I am calling for a peaceful revolution.  We need to work together to take control of our city, then our county.  Then we’ll be able to take control of our state, then even our country.  The progressives had the right idea with the 100 year plan.  If we plan on changing the nation for the better we need to copy some plays out of their playbook and come up with some new ones on our own.  New plays like going out to urban areas, and showing them the true nature of the democrat party, and how it is not the party of the people.  I heard somewhere that there were individuals ready and willing to go out to jewish, latino, and black communities to try to drive support for Mitt Romney a few months back.  The Romney campaign turned their offers down.  What?  This really needs to change.  I’m looking at you GOP.

Another step we need to take is taking back the education system from leftist union control.  We do have awesome teachers out their who are pushed aside by some of the worst teachers around, just because they have been a teacher longer.  Teachers should be held to some kind of standards, and the current, as long as they don’t kill a student, mentality is getting us nowhere.  Parents need to be involved in the educating of our children.  We need to instill our children with righteous morals, a good work ethic, and respect of their fellow-man.  We need to teach them the truth about American history, the good and the bad, and show them how when we did something wrong this is how we fixed it.

We allow liberal public school teachers to mold the minds of the children, under the guise of education, as they basically babysit our children.  Even if we can’t be there to educate our children in person, we should be at a minimum asking children what they learned in school today and have discussions on those subjects pointing out the blurring of any facts.  I don’t have children yet, and before you say that disqualifies me from giving out my “words of wisdom,” everything I’m saying is just plain common sense and I wish this was some of the interaction I had with my parents around the dinner table.

These are a few of the first steps I believe we need to accomplish to win back this nation.  It may end up being a slow process, but a slow process got us here in the first place.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Before the elections, an echo rang throughout the land.  Well at least through the MSM.  We kept hearing Obama and the left proclaim that the rich need to pay their fair share of the nations taxes, failing to mention that the rich already pay over 70% of the nations taxes.  They also claimed that the rich won’t care if they pay more in taxes.  That’s a load of crap, I said to myself over and over again.  Surely the rich won’t vote for individuals that want to steal their income and redistribute it to a group of bottom feeders.  Boy was I wrong.  Obama actually picked up eight of the ten wealthiest counties in the U.S.

This is absolutely mind-boggling, to say the least.  I can’t wrap my mind around the thought process of these people.  I don’t know if they are just stupid or ignorant.  Maybe the rich had some elaborate plan to get Obama re-elected and then start a mass exodus the near future, taking their money and jobs with them to another country.  Which by the way would leave the rest of us screwed.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see the unemployment rate doubled, $6.00 gas, and a restricted second amendment.

A fortune-teller I am not, but I do know that we are heading for rough waters in the near future.  Luckily you don’t have to be a fortune-teller to be able to know where we are heading.  All you have to do is look back through world history and find out what happened to the civilizations in the days of yore.

Looking back to the Roman Empire, you will find a lot of similarities between the former and current powerful nations.  The Romans, before their fall, became a very perverse society.  Sexual immorality was rampant.  It decayed the foundation of the society like a plague.  Sound familiar?  As we all know, our society is following in the path of the Romans.  Sex is almost used like currency in our society.  People meet in a stranger in some bar and have a one night stand, or they want that promotion so the use sex to get it.  There are also a lot of people who participate in acts like sodomy, bestiality, and many other perverse sex acts.  Sounds like a sexually immoral society to me.

Another reason for the fall of the Roman civilization was that they had the majority of their population on a type of welfare system, the government would give citizens a monthly ration of grain, at a highly discounted price.  Since the government controlled the price of the grain, they could raise or lower the price to affect the favorability of the ruler.  Again, sounds the same.  Looking at today’s society it is very clear that we are heavily vested in our welfare system.  It is an ever-expanding behemoth.  Not only are we giving people free money for nothing, but in the not so distant past FDR gave his “hold-the-line” order where the government froze most prices.  They even jailed people who tried charging any more than these set limits.  Again, sounds like the Roman empire to me.

Let’s not fail to mention that the Romans had a blood lust, where the Christians bore the brunt of their lust for violence.  Now Americans, currently don’t have gladiators who fight to the death, however we do enjoy watching two men beat the crap out of each other for hours at a time.  What America does have, in comparison, is a society the is increasingly anti-Christian, anti-Jew, and/or just plain anti-God.  Atheists say that the nation was not founded on biblical principles and the founding fathers were areligious.  However, all you have to do is look at what the founders said in their own words, not a text-book written two years ago by a bunch of commie educators, and you see that they were in fact Christians.  Even Thomas Jefferson was, comparatively, more Christian than most Christians today.

More than fifty percent of American voters made a statement that was loud and clear on November 6, 2012.  “We would rather have free crap than Freedom.”  This is disheartening.  I no longer recognize the country that I have loved my entire life.  We let politicians that have lied to us, to our faces,  sweet talks us into voting for them again.  We voted, in favor of letting our taxes be raised to new historic levels.

Barack Obama will go down in history as the president who single-handedly destroyed the America that we know and love today.  We have seen his failed and destructive policies being inflicted upon the American people for just about four years now with dire consequences.  We have seen his ineptitude when it comes to handling issues of foreign policy.  It seems the president, in the last few months, started showing his true colors.  He has revealed, in fact, that he is a socialist, and we still want him to be the leader of our country.

In the coming months, conservatives need to regroup and figure out a strategy to start taking back our society.  We need to either change the republican party, or send it the way of the whig party.  We bloggers are the new media and we need to connect, we need to come to come together.  So get on Twitter, get a blog, connect with other like-minded people, and don’t worry, real change will come to the country and we will bring it to fruition.

Sandy Rocks the Nation, Obama Mocks the Nation

Atlantic City underwater.

In the aftermath of super storm Sandy, we keep those impacted in our prayers, especially for those who have lost loved ones. I sincerely ask you to continue to pray for all affected. I did not want to bring any politics into an article that had to deal with the hurricane, and I do seem to remember hearing recently Obama saying something to that effect, however he did happen to throw his lean forward slogan into a couple of press conferences. So make this political he did first.

Having a family member in path of the hurricane myself, in Maryland, I have been following the events as much as possible, but I also see the need to not lose focus on the developments of the so-called ‘Benghazi-gate.’ Don’t forget, according to Rahm Emanuel, we don’t want to waste a crisis. Well this is just the crisis needed to take everyone’s mind off the loss of American lives in Libya and focus them elsewhere.

It is very saddening to have to say something like that. We need badly to support our fellow citizens, but individuals and conglomerates of left based groups and foundations have been “capitalizing” on the deaths and struggles of Americans and spinning them into something they can use to push agendas and hide corruption.

Just look at how the left uses gun related tragedies to try to push gun control, or how they used news about celebrities to sort of hide the passage of Obamacare. We all know what happened in Benghazi, well all of us except Chris Matthew’s. We know about the lies and deceit, we now know about the possibility that the white house denied support to the Marines in Benghazi, sentencing them to a death penalty for serving this great country. Now according to recent developments, the white house, including the president, may have been watching the attack as it happened.

Then, I heard something that just made my stomach churn. During a press conference, Obama said, “we leave nobody behind,” I found it a little unnerving. I mean why would he say something like that when we did leave Marines behind, and ultimately paid the price with their lives. Then I just about came unglued when I found out he was actually talking about those affected by the hurricane.

Again, I mourn with those on the east coast who are mourning, I am not knocking the seriousness of the situation, and I’m not saying we should leave anyone behind. What I am saying that in light of the happenings in Benghazi, this was a very poor choice of words. Very poor Mr. President. Then again, he seems to always choose the poorest choice of words.

On a side note, I find it despicable to hear people talk badly about the Romney/Ryan campaign using their bus to help ship needed supplies to areas impacted by the hurricane. If you feel compelled and want to help those affected by hurricane Sandy, here are a couple of links that you can use to donate monetarily if you’d like:

One Thing To Remember

Hey everyone. I just wanted to remind everyone that if you haven’t voted yet for some reason, vote for the candidate whose father was not a polygamist. Mitt Romney. If you need another reason check out this picture I made a few months ago.

Creepy Voting Ad Finally Gets Parody

I am still at a loss for words on the ‘My First Time’ video.  You know, the video that the Obama campaign created that creepily compares voting to losing your virginity.  Seriously, give it a look if you don’t believe me.

Okay, see creepy as all get out.  Also I feel kind of dirty after watching this.  It’s almost an NSFW type of video, where you don’t want someone to know your watching it.  The only entertainment I got out of this was reading the twitter feeds that were responding to this outlandish display of tomfoolery.

Then yesterday Steven Crowder, a conservative comedian, came out with this parody of the Obama Ad.

I don’t feel so bad anymore.  Thanks Steven.

Was That A Hate Crime? Nope.

As I was reading TheBlaze on the latest developments on the story about Sharmeka Moffitt, a black woman from Louisiana who was attacked, by three white men, in an apparent racially motivated attack, something seemed a little odd to me.  I’m not sure how to describe it, but I had a feeling something was fishy about her story, deep down it seemed that the whole incident was made up.  Being the type of person who doesn’t rush to judgement on anything, I hesitated to tell friends and family about my opinion on the matter.   I mean, who wants to be the person to accuse someone of making up a horrific story like this, only to look like a douche-bag when proven wrong.  So I suspended my judgement, and waited for more facts, unlike the MSM.

And more facts came indeed.  Not to long after the story broke, maybe the next day or two, the police had wrapped up their investigation.  Turns out she did make the story up.  She wrote KKK and a racial slur on her car, then set herself on fire.  What was she trying to prove?  Maybe she was trying to commit suicide and make it look like an assault, maybe she was seeking the attention of friends and family, or maybe she is just someone who hates whites and will do anything to make them look like racists.  I don’t know.

Later, I was thinking to myself and came to a realization.  This wasn’t the first time that someone had self-inflicted injuries, then blamed another group of people in an attempt to demonize them or their belief’s, in an attempt to hide something.

I decided to do a little research and found, as I had originally surmised, this has happened many times in the last couple years.  It seems that a lot of the report are from people who injure themselves doing something moronic, such as attempting a backflip while intoxicated.  However there seems to be a more sinister plot afoot.  Some of these falsely reported hate crimes seem to have been done to draw attention to some sort of political ideology.  Namely this so false notion of homophobia, that is “rampant” in America. n n

Back in May there was a lesbian couple, whom had “kill the gays” tagged on their home, the next day they found a noose hanging on their front door handle.  After an investigation it turned out they spray painted the message onto the house, and reported the “crime.”  According to the Huffington Post:

Aimee Whitchurch, 37 and Christel Conklin, 29, reported in October of 2011 that the words “Kill the Gay” were spray-painted in red on their Parker condominium’s garage door. The next day police were called back to the house after the women claimed someone hung a noose on their front door handle.

But after working on the case with the FBI because of the hate crime element to the incidents, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has determined that the incidents were false

There was Charlie Rogers, a small business owner, who is openly lesbian, she reported being attacked in her home by three masked men.  According to Journal Star in a turn of events, an arrest warrant was issued for Ms. Roger’s

An arrest warrant for Charlie Rogers was issued after investigators say they found no sign of a struggle in the living room where the 33-year-old claimed she was attacked. She has since been released on a personal recognizance bond after a brief court appearance, the publication notes.

“There was no apparent blood on the bedspread; even though Ms. Rogers reported she was rolled on to her stomach after she had been cut on her arms, abdomen, chest and front of her legs while being held down,” the warrant stated, according to theJournal Star.

Turned out she carved gay slurs into her body, and spray painted gay slurs throughout her own apartment.

In another case, this time based on religion, you have Zachary Tennen, a 19-year-old sophomore at Michigan State University, that claimed he was beaten up by neo-nazis while leaving a party, because he was Jewish.  This, like the others, gained national attention. However, about 50 witnesses reported that there were no neo-nazis at the party, what they remember was a drunk student aggressively hitting on women until, as he groped one of them, a male friend punched Tennen in the face.

I’m not sure why these individuals are reporting the phony hate crimes, I’m sure false reporting of crimes in general happens a lot, but these seem to be targeted attacks, mainly, aimed at conservatives, whites, or Christians, in my opinion.  Is it possible that the left is stooping to a new low.  Maybe, however, these are just about as despicable as the occupy protestors telling their people not to report the rapes that were happening within their movement.

I know that there are real hate crimes that happen in this country, and around the world, but nowadays it seems like anytime a victim is black, gay, muslim, etc., the incident is always called a hate crime.  Even if these factors had nothing to do with that particular incident.  Hopefully we can change this, because the majority of Americans, no matter their race, sex, or religion, are do not hate anyone.  We do deserve the ability to defend our positions and belief’s without having insults hurled at us.

This could be a problem in the future for people who are truly victims of hate crimes.  Think the boy who cried wolf.

Political Fails #8

Sorry about getting this post out late, been a hectic weekend.  Here it is though in all its  glory.

Monday 10/22:
Billboards that explain voter fraud is a felony and list the punishment for such actions are being taken down in Wisconsin and Ohio. According to Reuters, the group behind the billboards violated its policy on political-themed ads by remaining anonymous.  The decision to take down the billboards was agreed to by the unknown foundation.

It is strange though that there are groups, such as the NAACP, claiming that the billboards are racist.  This goes right along with the whole, voter ID laws are racist.  I saw the funniest thing earlier today though.  While president Obama was voting this week, his photo ID was requested.

Tuesday 10/23:

MSNBC may not be the best place to get the news of the day, however you can usually get  a good laugh as the hosts make complete fools of themselves.  You can also get a really good idea on how out of touch the news organization is with the general population.  On Tuesday I saw a display that made the left look so pitiful, it just showed the barbaric nature of the left.  During the ‘Morning Joe’ Mika Brzezinski asked a 9-year old girl who she thinks should win the election.  She replied Mitt Romney and received a plethora of boos from the surrounding crowd.  Pathetic.

Wednesday 10/24:

Wednesday was full of good news.  First of, we have all heard the left say that voter fraud is a rare or non-existent.  I just wish that was true.  In Colorado’s Secretary of State has found that some 300 non-citizens are on the voter rolls there.  Hmmm.  I’ll just let that one sink in.  If that wasn’t bad enough, voting machines in Guilford County, in North Carolina, were found to be calibrated to register a vote for Mitt Romney as Barack Obama.  According to poll officials, they just need to be re-calibrated.  Conspiracy?  Most likely not, but who knows.

The person our country knows as the vice president of the United States, Joe Biden, has a tendency to open his mouth and his foot goes flying in.  I don’t know how he has any teeth with all the gaffes he’s had the last couple months.  Well, it seems he forgot where he was.  Again.  This time he was in Ohio and referred to the state as Iowa.

Thursday 10/25:

Obama had a couple of things come to life of Thursday.  The first was during an interview with ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine.  During this interview he called Romney a bullsh*tter.  Really?  This is not how the president of the United States should act, or speak, on record or in public.  I could care less if you talk like this behind the scenes, but leave it there.

Secondly, we learned that Obama must hang around Biden too much.  It seems that he is forgetting where he is as well.  The only difference is that Biden seems to mistake states that are at least near each other.  Obama, during a speech at a campaign stop, said he wanted wind turbines manufactured, “…here in China.”  How do you mix up the U.S. and China?

Friday 10/26:

Two stories that I thought needed some more attention were yet another about Biden and another about a Romney supporter.  Eric Hartsburg, a professional wrestler, auctioned off an area of he head to get tattooed.  He received $15,000 and tattooed the Romney symbol on the side of his head.

Now on to Biden.  To put it simply, he had two gaffes in a speech Thursday or Friday.  I’ll let Biden speak for himself.

Saturday 10/27:

Although there were a few good fails on Saturday, I had to choose one this time.  I chose the abomination that is children singing songs about Obama.  This time the song is about blaming the state of our nation solely on their parents.  No kidding.

Biden also had another gaffe which you can view here, and Madonna was booed when she tried telling concertgoers to vote for Obama, you can view that here.

Sorry again about the lateness of this post.  Have a great week and don’t forget to check out RedPillReport for posts from some great writers, and I contribute there as well to.

Will the Youth Vote Be the Fall of America?

The term “Youth Vote” originally described voters in the 21-30 year old age bracket and was coined in the 1930’s. During the 1970’s the voting age was then changed to 18, bringing in hundreds of thousands of voters mainly fresh out of high school. Being 28, I myself fall under this category. Naturally, democrats used this to their advantage and have been working on forming the minds of children to their liberal ideologies. Eventually, in their minds, the youth would be overwhelmingly democrat due to the brainwashing attempted in the public school systems, and it works, to some extent.

The last two elections have had very high turn out from youth voters, in which the majority of that group voted for Al Gore and Barack Obama. Looking to the future, there are studies that show that in 2015 the youth vote will make up approximately 33% of all American voters. If the trend continues, that will be a major chunk of the voting population, who might end up supporting democrat candidates and ideologies. These politicians won’t have to break a sweat, or drop a dime for these votes.

Democrats have been pandering to these individuals for as long as I can remember, with promises of lower to no tuition costs for college, free money for living and food, and other types of entitlements for all. It’s no wonder that they flock to democrats who just tell them what they want to hear. If you listen to the news, it seems the youth of this nation really can’t think for themselves.

However, according to the New York Times, some of the youth vote, at least for the moment, is moving toward Mitt Romney and the republicans. Though he still leads by a large margin, support for Obama, between the 18-24 year old voters is half what the 25-29 year old vote is.

I thought to myself why is this? Why would support for Obama being going downhill. After thinking back to the debate, and things that I’ve seen in the past four years, I came up with two theories.

First off, maybe, just maybe these youth are realizing that they are not getting what they were promised and their eyes are finally opened to the lies of the left. They realize that the country is going to hell and the failed policies of the current administration are just flat out hurting America. The only other possible theory, I can think of, is that they are upset with Obama, and the democrats, and will vote for Romney out of spite.

According to a poll, from Harvard, Obama is loosing support from students, not because they’re voting for Romney, but because they aren’t going to vote at all.

According to U.S. News:

As the race hurtles into its last weeks, the youth vote is becoming less of a lock for President Obama than it was for his first White House bid. And it’s not because young people like GOP nominee Mitt Romney any more than Obama, it’s that they just might not show up at the polls this time around.

“Millennial enthusiasm is nowhere near where it was four years ago,” says Harvard Institute of Politics Director Trey Grayson.

While a new Harvard poll finds that young adults trust Obama over Romney to improve their lives 55 percent to 36 percent among “likely” voters, fewer than half of 18 to 29-years-olds said they “definitely” plan to vote at all. That number is down 19 points from 2008, when 66 percent of Millennials were registered and ready to cast ballots.

While at the same time:

Romney’s youth voters are much more likely to make it out to vote in November. Sixty-five percent of his voters said they are definitely going to make it to the polls whereas just over half of Obama’s supporters were committed to casting a ballot.

So it looks like, in my opinion, Obama is losing support out of spite. A small percentage are turning to Romney, most are just going to stay home. Romney on the other hand, is gaining support because of an emerging energized base of youth voters.

Even though it’s not a clear-cut victory for Romney with the youth, the tides are changing. It just goes to show how important our vote is to secure a victory on either side, and republicans have not been doing enough to grab these votes. I believe that will change, republicans are not just a bunch of old, fat, white, rich guys. There is a young, diverse group of republicans rising from the midst of this great country, and they will be the future of the GOP.

So will the youth vote destroy America? No, I really don’t think so. I think the destruction of America would come at the hands of a majority of the population living off government entitlements and/or a majority of the population in government employment. Both very real possibilities, but that’s a whole other topic.
